Big gushy thanks (from the playwright)
Thank you to all those who offered feedback and support at various stages, including: Peter Blanchard, Pierre Brault, Matthew Carrington, Carolyn Brown, Steve Blanchard, Ian! D. Allen, John Geyssen, Anthony Reid, Alette Willis, Skye Faris, A.K., Scott Florence, Louise Hayden, Glynis Ellens and the Seniors’ Playreading Circle, Deb Tunney, Maggie Daly, Frances Boyle, Michael Aylward, Dr. Adam Brown, Laurie Koensgen, and Maureen Smith. Thank you to the Daily Grind Cafe and Bridgehead for just being so very cool.
Four people, at different points, saved this play from death by discouragement: Scott Florence, Katie Dyson, Rebecca Wolsak, and Lisa O’Connell from Pat the Dog Playwright Centre. Big thank you to Andrea Schaefer for helping me make lemonade out of lemons.
Thank you to the person who called me immoral for buying a car. Thank you to the family members who taught me, albeit unintentionally, about the perils of poor communication. Thank you to the person who told me this play was impossible.
Many of the ideas and dialogue in this play were inspired by several authors, including: Bill McKibben ('what the warming world needs now, is art, sweet art'); many cool folk at Grist.org; Mike Hulme (author of Why We Disagree about Climate Change), and; Dr. David Schnarch (author of Passionate Marriage, and the concept of differentiation in intimate relationships). The daunting realization that I needed to leave my world of short stories and write a play was nudged along by the Center for Research on Environmental Decisions’ “The Psychology of Climate Change Communications”.
Thanks also to the Exam Centre, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa, for the generous loan of some costume pieces. Big thanks to Andrew Alexander for an awesome promo video.

Tracey would like to thank Catriona Leger and James Richardson for advice and comments, the Glebe Neighbourhood Activites Group (GNAG), David Whiteley and Elise Gauthier for their help at a reading, and the Ecclesiax Church for being so generous. She'd also like to thank Scott Florence, Paul Griffin, Manvitha Singamsetty, as well as Gregg Clark and the folks at the Fringe Fest.
